Two of Flagstaff’s favorite arts organizations are joining together to bring you a production of epic proportions! Join FSO and FlagShakes for a one night only performance of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream! The show will feature Shakespeare’s text alongside Mendelssohn’s delightful orchestral music. Acting and music will be seamlessly intertwined to create a full length production of this magical play. The show will also feature performances by NAU Community Music and Dance Academy and NAU’s treble choirs.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows the famous story of four young lovers who find themselves in a magical forest. Chaos ensues as the magical fairy world intercedes into their lives and characters start falling in love with the wrong people. Enter a rag tag group of amateur actors, a mischievous fairy realm, and a man turned into a donkey, and you’ve got yourself a comedy!

The performance is one night only at Northern Arizona University’s stunning Ardrey Auditorium and is absolutely not to be missed. It will be a magical night of Shakespeare, classical music, ballet, and choral excellence.

There will be a pre-concert reception in the Kitt Recital Hall Atrium starting at 6 pm, and a “Chat with Charles,” FSO’s conductor, at 6:30 pm inside Kitt Recital Hall.
