Amie Bjorklund

Justus Burkitt
Justus was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona and has been involved in theatre across the Southwest for over 20 years. He appeared as an actor in several FlagShakes productions prior to joining the staff. Other theatre companies that Justus has worked with, either as a performer or in an administrative capacity, include Southwest Shakespeare Company, Utah Shakespeare Festival, and his hometown’s own Laark Productions. Justus holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre performance from Northern Arizona University. He lives in Flagstaff, Arizona with his wife, Bree, who is a career journalist and the current host of Morning Edition at KNAU public radio. Together they are the proud parents of 2 rescue dogs (Jill and Sonora) and a cat (Indigo). In his spare time, Justus enjoys hiking, powerlifting, horror movies, and frequenting Flagstaff’s many excellent coffee shops and microbreweries.

Hannah Johnson

Ryan L. Jenkins
Ryan L. Jenkins is excited to join FlagShakes as a Core Company Member! She was last seen on the FlagShakes stage as Tybalt/Page/Apothecary in Romeo and Juliet, and Viola in Twelfth Night. Ryan’s other FlagShakes credits include Crumbs From The Table Of Joy (Ermina Crump), As You Like It (Orlando), Much Ado About Nothing (Ursula/Third Watch/Sexton), The Taming Of The Shrew (Katherine), and Macbeth (Third Witch/Third Murderer).
She has also worked with Spotlight Youth Theatre, Childsplay, Stray Cat Theatre, Black Theatre Troupe, Tier5 Theatre Company, Southwest Shakespeare Company, Virtual Theatre of Arizona, iTheatre Collaborative, and Nearly Naked Theatre. Ryan is originally from Chicago, Illinois, and earned her Acting BFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014.

Racquel McKenzie
Racquel is a Jamaica-born, Chicago-raised actor turned Arizona transplant. Her professional work began with the St. Louis Black Repertory Theater in 2008. Upon graduating from Southern Illinois University with her BA in theater, she began an international tour through Barbados, England, and Nigeria with ZMirage Co. After returning to the states, she became a veteran dancer with Gorilla Tango Theater performing in their nerd-lesque shows including Don’t Blink; A Doctor Who Burlesque. She moved to Phoenix in 2014 after being promoted to Director for The Murder Mystery Company.
Since relocating to Phoenix, she has been seen on the stages of Childsplay Theatre; Junie B Jones is Not a Crook, Stray Cat Theatre; The Cake, Southwest Shakespeare Company; A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Richard II, Taming of the Shrew, and As You Like it, Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival; Duchess of Malfi, Emerson Theatre Collaborative; Stop Kiss and Bee-Luther-Hatchee,

Suze St. John
Suze St. John has been a performer for most of her life and is honored to count several shows at FlagShakes among her favorite performances: Comedy of Errors (Aemelia, et al), Importance of Being Earnest (Lady Bracknell), A Lie of the Mind (Meg), Much Ado About Nothing (Leonata), Taming of the Shrew (Baptista), and the 2017 Merry Wives of Windsor (Mistress Page). Recent credits in the Phoenix area include Queen Elizabeth in William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead at Theater Works, and Hale Center Theatre’s Fiddler on the Roof (Yente) and My Fair Lady (Mrs. Higgins). Also Velocity of Autumn (Alexandra), The Revolutionists (with an AriZoni nomination for her role as Marie Antoinette), and the title role in The Giver at Stage Left Productions, as well as playing Mrs. Claus in Claus and Effect at Order Chaos Theatre Company AND in The Truth About Santa Claus at BlkBoxPhx. Suze holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Arizona, and a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts from ASU West. Miss St. John spent 25 years teaching Performing Arts at South Mountain High School in Phoenix and now happily sells movie tickets at Harkins.

Vicki Thompson
Vicki Thompson was most recently seen in the FlagShakes production of Two Noble Kinsmen in various roles. Some of her favorite FlagShakes roles have been as Titus in Titus Andronicus and as Lorraine in A Lie of the Mind. She is a Viola Award winner for her role as Margie in Good People. Audrey Young
Audrey Young was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona where she performed in shows with Arizona Theatre Company and The Arizona Repertory Theatre. She received a BS in Theatre from Northern Arizona University with a minor in Psychology. Audrey was the recipient of the Viola Award for Emerging Artist in 2020 and portrayed Gerte Schulte in the 2023 Viola Award winning production of Crumbs from the Table of Joy. The summer of 2024 Audrey spent studying theatre/Shakespeare in Prague, Czech Republic and performed in The Merry Wives of Windsor (Pistol/ Anne Page U/S) as well as toured Italy performing in The Tempest (Sebastian) with the Prague Shakespeare Festival. Audrey is also a core member of Emerson Theater Collaborative, based in Sedona, Arizona and Mystic, Conneticut. Recent FlagShakes productions include: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia/Quince/Mustardseed), Two Noble Kinsmen (Emilia), Twelfth Night (Feste), and Othello (Emilia.) Additional productions include: The Comedy of Errors (First Merchant/Courtesan) with Laark Productions, Cyrano de Bergerac (Roxane) with Red Earth Theatre Co., and Eurydice (Little Stone/Eurydice U/S) and The Great Gatsby (Daisy Buchanen) with Emerson Theater Collaborative.

Becki Zaritsky
Becki Zaritsky is thrilled to be part of the Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival as a Core Company Member! Becki first joined FlagShakes in 2019 to play Sarah in The God of Vengeance and Halina in Indecent. She immediately fell in love with the town and the community, and is grateful for the artistic home she has here with FlagShakes. Previous FlagShakes credits include: The Merry Wives of Windsor (Mistress Quickly), Julius Caesar (Calpurnia/Mesala), Mendelssohn: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania), The Importance of Being Earnest (Miss Prism), As You Like It (Rosalind), Hamlet (Horatio), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Quince), The Winter’s Tale (Paulina), and The Duchess of Malfi (Malatesti). Becki was also the Production Manager for FlagShakes from 2019 – 2021, and the Stage Manager for A Lie of the Mind. Other selected credits include: Callie in Consequences (24-hr Theatre Project with The Phoenix Theatre Company), understudy Tatiana Racón in The Comedy of Tenors (Walnut Street Theatre); Ensemble in Indecent (Emerson Theater Collaborative), Harriet in The Bremen Town Musicians (The REV on Tour); and Assistant Stage Manager for West Side Story (International Tour). Matthew Windham
Matthew Windham is an actor, director, writer and private chef. He has performed in many FlagShakes productions including King Lear (Kent), Hamlet (Claudius & Ghost), A Christmas Carol (Scrooge), The Importance of Being Earnest (Ernest), The Comedy of Errors (Antipholus of Ephesus), Two Noble Kinsmen (Theseus) and Julius Caesar (Caesar). He co-created and co-starred in Simply Silly Shakespeare and Shakespeare on Pluto, wrote the adaptation of FlagShakes’ production of Emma, and directed The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged).
Matthew produces work as the founder of The Giddy Round theatre collective, including the science plays Tongue & Cheek: The Science of Flavor and The Parasite Play. He co-wrote and co-directed This Little World: A Solo Performance of Shakespeare’s Richard II, which toured to US and international festivals from 2021-23, winning the Pittsburgh Fringe award for Best Solo Show. He is the recipient of an Opportunity Grant (2025) and a Research & Development Grant (2023) from the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
Matthew performed in touring productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Bottom) and Twelfth Night (Sir Andrew Aguecheek) with the Prague Shakespeare Company, appearing on stages in Prague, Bremen, Amsterdam and Vienna. Other favorite roles include Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (Player), Henry VI Part III (Edward of York), Shakespeare Roulette (Juliet, Benedick, Polonius, Laertes & Macbeth), In the Next Room:The Vibrator Play (Dr. Givings), The Pillowman (Katurian), Honest Abe (Abraham Lincoln), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Oberon), and two productions as the title role in Macbeth. Anthony Veneziano
Anthony is incredibly grateful to now be a core company member with the Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival. He first appeared on a FlagShakes summer stage in 2023.
The company itself, as well as Northern Arizona, holds a special place in Anthony’s heart, as he was born in Payson and raised in Prescott. It is because of this that he continues to strive to deliver high-quality professional theater to the region.
Beyond performing, Anthony is currently pursuing a nursing degree and hopes to establish an animal rescue in the future.
