by William Shakespeare
January 25-26, 2025
The Beaver Street Theatre, Flagstaff, AZ
Join us for the very first event at the Beaver Street Theatre, The Tragedy of Coriolanus by William Shakespeare! Coriolanus is a production of Ronin Theatre Company, a Phoenix based organization founded by former FlagShakes company members, Keath Hall and Cody Goulder, and FlagShakes is honored to present their show as our first production of 2025. This play has completed its run in Phoenix, and will now move to Flagstaff. A review from their Phoenix run says “Ronin’s production of Coriolanus captures the timeless power of Shakespeare’s work while offering a fresh, innovative approach.” -Gil Benbrook, Phoenix Stages.
‘“In a place called Rome,” the country’s greatest general and soldier is thrust into the world of politics against his will. How will he fare against enemies he cannot attack directly? Set in post-revolutionary America, Ronin Theatre [poses] the question “how do we view and treat our heroes when we are done with them? What is the difference between honor and pride?” Come see the battles, the glory, and the anguish this winter.’ (Description courtesy of Ronin Theatre Company)
This production of The Tragedy of Coriolanus by William Shakespeare might just be an Arizona premiere of a 400-year-old play. And we hope you’ll join us to see it!l
The show runs two days only; Saturday, January 25 at 7 pm, and Sunday, January 26 at 2 pm. Tickets are limited and are available at:
