2024 Season
Dear Wonderful Patrons,
Thank you so much for joining us under the festival tent at Lowell Observatory for our summer shows! Here are a few bits of information to help make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
First, when you arrive at Lowell, enter through the visitors center. Check-in with the FlagShakes Usher in the visitor’s center under the big FlagShakes sign. If no one is present, wait under the sign.
Please allow yourself an extra 5 minutes to walk to our tent, as it is up a slight hill!
Once you arrive at the tent, our usher will check you in and get you settled. Come early to buy concessions (including beer and wine on Friday & Saturday), snag a seat, and enjoy the incredible live music during pre-show. The house “opens” exactly half an hour before each show. Space is limited under the tent, so coming early will guarantee your party can sit together. Bathrooms are located near the tent.
If you have limited mobility, please email [email protected] for information on handicapped/limited mobility parking. This is available for matinees only. If you cannot attend a matinee and have limited mobility, please let us know at least 48 hrs in advance so we can accommodate you. If you need to switch your ticket to a matinee, please email [email protected].
Because we experience all kinds of weather here in the summer, it’s important to be prepared. Please bring warm layers for the evenings. You will be covered under the tent, but for walking between the tent and other facilities, an umbrella will be helpful no matter the time of day, and sunscreen for matinees is also advised. In the event of thunder and lightning, we will follow our storm protocols for holding the show. You are welcome to also bring a water bottle and other non-alcoholic drinks, your favorite bug repellent, and non-distracting snacks 🙂
Please respond with any questions or concerns! We can’t wait to see you!
See you soon,
